About Me

I am a qualified humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist.

As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to a strict code of ethics ensuring good practise and I am therefore subject to their professional conduct procedure.

I trained on a BACP accredited course. This course included Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt models of counselling.

I have experience working with the elderly, detainees as well as working for several years with a bereavement agency. I run my private practice from two locations.

I am a relationship counsellor for an Independent Relationship Counselling Organisation which involves helping couples to move forward to a healthier place. This may include looking at communication, trust or dissatisfaction within the relationship in order to find a resolution.

I also work as a counsellor at the University of Kent. I work with teenagers as well as young adults. Although I do not work with children or young adolescents in my private practice, my work at the University lends itself to a good understanding when working with young adults as well as parents and carers who are experiencing difficulties.
